Have you ever visited the biggest Caribbean music festival? On the last week of October, in Dominica (please, do not confuse with Dominican Republic) it was held the 13th Annual World Creole Music Festival (WCMF), the 3-night festival has grown to one of the only truly indigenous music event in Dominica and the Eastern Caribbean. The creole festival has attracted some of the most famous musical groups and soloists, whose art work connects to the creole-speaking music: R&B, Dancehall, Reggae, Jazz, Soul, Boyon, Cadance, Zouk, Soca, Compa, Calipso and others.
There was a night with reggae vocalist MAXI Priest - who’s best known for singing Reggae music with an R&B influence and reggae giants Morgan Heritage known for their mellow, RB-influenced, vocals and Rastafarian lyrics. Also, it was presented local talented bands: Caribbean Vibes and Nature Boys.
